Great place to stay. In the heart of the old city with a great view and very close to the local attractions. Awesome breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Neat experience staying in a 4000 year old cave. The spa is worth it.

Great stay in the heart of Matera! Stylish rooms (many in cave setting), superb location near the Sassi, and a relaxing indoor spa/pool area. A few rooms are a bit compact and parking is limited, but overall excellent value and experience.

Excellent and unique stay. I recommend parking at the Damasco lot as they had a shuttle to the hotel from there. There are lots of stairs so beware if you have heavy luggage but there is an elevator to the floor with the rooms on it. The shuttle is a little outdated so I wasn’t sure how the hotel would be. The front desk were very amicable- spa staff were ok. They speak English so that was good for me. They allowed me to store my bags while my room was being prepared and I wanted to explore the
