We spent a wonderful 6 nights at the Douglas Riverside Accommodation and enjoyed every minute. It is a beautiful location by the river and we had been upgraded to a whole apartment which was very much appreciated from which we could see the river. Jane had made delicious homemade bread for our arrival together with some butter and jams, coffee and teas and other goodies which made for a very warm welcome. You made my day! We are ever so thankful to the professional landlord: Our travel agent messed up the booking (one month early; we didn't notice the 'no show'). On arrival we were lucky one room was still available. We got a full refund on the pre-paid no-show and even got an upgrade free of charge. We couldn't have asked for more and were over the moon that we received such a warm welcome and treat. Great location by the way: walking distance to town centre and light house. Thank you very much.
