A lovely walk around reformed wetlands. Bird life is abundant and the pair of resident black swans are together again, caring for their five cygnets (six were born but at four weeks one disappeared). The swans alone make this an interesting trek. There's a few different paths, all well sign-posted. There are barbeque facilities, car-parking, toilets and the beach is just over the road. It's also dog friendly.

I recently enjoyed a morning run at Russell Clark Reserve in Port Fairy, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I started my run around 6:30 am, and the peace and tranquility of the area were immediately noticeable. The reserve felt safe, with a few friendly individuals walking their dogs and early birds heading to the beach to catch fish. The sense of community was evident, and it was heartening to see people on the road heading to work as the day began.

Not quite as wild a place as I had hoped but still a lovely walk around the waterways. Would like to see more canopy trees in future, and perhaps a bit more plant diversity - unless of course this is contrary to the natural site ecosystem.

Nice open space to a enjoy a walk. Even noticed some camels in the open space which was unusual (not secured).
