This museum seems to be newly fitted out with no expense spared. It's very modern inside. With a spiral slope to access the upper floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious auditorium where we were lucky enough to sit at midday and listen to a wonderful pianist practicing Beethoven for a forthcoming concert. The museum is full of local finds from the sea, from excavations and from local building works. There are many Greek red-figure vases. The highlight for me was the wonderful bronze stat
